What is it?

Slice of Clack is a month-long event celebrating the domestic life of Cloud & Zack. Whether this is during canon, before canon, after canon, or ignoring canon is completely up to you! All we ask if that you tag your entries with #sliceofclack so we can see & share them!

As well as an event, we will be compiling the entries of willing participants into a zine at the end of the event period. We'll have a limited run of physical zines as well as digital pdfs.

The zine will be for sale and all profits will go to the Boys & Girls Clubs of America's COVID Relief Fund.

Who's running this?

Slice of Clack is currently run by 2 mods: Xiem & Sebastian!

We're trying our best. For some of us, this is our first time administering an event. Constructive feedback is more than welcome, but please be patient and respectful!

How do I participate?

Participate by posting your piece on Twitter and/or Tumblr and tagging it with #sliceofclack. That's it!

If you'd like to be considered for the zine, please also use the tag #socprint.

We also have an AO3 collection up and running!

Define domestic.

Domestic is whatever you interpret it to be! Defined as "of or relating to the home, the household, household affairs, or the family," domesticity usually translates to fluffy, home-y content that brings joy and comfort to those that come across it.

Mod Seb interprets domesticity as content that relates to the soft and/or real sides of a relationship. This includes peeks into some private, silly moments as well as pda, subtle or not. We all know Zack would make the pda obvious, though, come on.

Mod Xiem inerprets domesticity as established relationships and all the gay shit that comes with them.

Do I have to follow the prompts?

Nope! They are there to inspire you, not limit you. Each week follows a certain theme. Create within that theme by following a prompt (or not, you do you) in order to participate! However, only submissions that answer to the themes will be considered for the zine.

You also don't necessarily have to post your submission within the week, so long as you're not posting your submission after the event is over.

I want to be in the zine!

Cool! We ask that any entry to Slice of Clack be tagged with #sliceofclack, while any entry to Slice of Clack that wants to be considered for the zine be tagged with the previous tag as well as #socprint. There will not be application forms outside of these submissions.

The criteria for being chosen to be in the zine can simply be broken down to how uniquely and appropriately you execute the theme for the week.

We are currently aiming for 10-15 artists and 10-15 authors for the zine. Again, details are still being ironed out but we will update you when we know more!

Is there a word limit?

Word limits in this context would only apply if you want your piece to be featured in the zine. Feel free to write to your heart's content for the event!

Right now, we are looking at a word limit of 2,200 words for zine submissions.

Can we submit old pieces?

Feel free to promote old, fluffy pieces by submitting them for the event! However, we'd prefer zine submissions to be new content.

Is NSFW allowed?

Yes! NSFW is allowed in the event from 18+ individuals. NSFW content will also be considered for an add-on to the zine. This add-on will only be available for 18+ individuals as well.

Please do not submit NSFW content if below the age of 18, no matter your country of residence.
